Zambia is landlocked in the middle of southern Africa between latitudes 8 and 18 degrees south and longitudes 22 and 34 degrees east and is home to about 10 million people.The majority of the country is high plateau consisting of bush and savannah and the climate is tropical with three seasons.
The capital city is Lusaka and the official language is English. Other major languages include Bemba and Nyanja.The currency is the Zambian Kwacha. Major attractions include the world-famous Victoria Falls, the major industry is copper mining and the staple food is maize.
