ZAMNET was established in 1994 as Zambia’s first Internet Service company and one of the first in the sub-Saharan region. Over the years, ZAMNET has gained a vast amount of experience in delivering quality service to its ever growing customer base. ZAMNET currently has three (4) full Points of Presence (PoPs) in Lusaka, Kitwe, Lumwana and Livingstone, and four wireless PoPs, in Ndola, Mazabuka, Solwezi and Luanshya.

Technical Capacity
ZAMNET owes its success to the team of qualified staff in the Networks Department who are assigned to carry out the installation and maintenance of communication solutions. In addition to the wireless radio solutions our team has installed and currently supports over 100 Ku-Band and C- Band V-Sat internet connections through-out the country.
Technical Team
The technical department is headed by the Technical Manager who oversees the entire ZAMNET infrastructure. The next level of management includes Operations Managers for Midlands, North and Southern regions. The Operations Manager – Midlands is in charge of the infrastructure within the midlands region and this includes Lusaka. Installations and primary troubleshooting of customer sites is carried out by a team of qualified Network Specialists. An escalation process is in place at ZAMNET such that when the network specialists fail to resolve a problem, it is escalated to the Operations Manager for attention after which it may be escalated to the Technical Manager.

Web Design and hosting
ZAMNET provides web design and hosting services to meet the growing demand as organisations see the need to have an online presence. We design dynamic and database driven web sites.
Domain Name Registration
Domain name registration affords subscribers a chance to have an identity on the Internet. Once registered the domain name can be used as a website address and also for setting up personalised e-mail addresses.
Virtual Private Network (VPN)
This addresses the growing need for companies that want to operate remote offices as though they belonged to a single private network while traversing public networks and backbones. ZAMNET deploys robust and secure VPN solutions.
Network Design and Consultancy
As most organisations demand turn-key solutions that incorporate software and hardware, ZAMNET offers a total solution from Local Area Network

Training
We offer training in different courses including Microsoft courses to prepare candidates for Microsoft Certifications. We also offer training in Web design, Web Maintenance and Administration. Special courses in LINUX administration can be arranged on request. In addition we offer custom designed training tailored to meet an organisation’s requirements.
Prometric Testing
ZAMNET is an authorised Prometric Testing Centre and delivers certification exams for Microsoft (including MCSE), A+, N+, ACI and many more.
