What is unwired Broadband?

Unwired Broadband is the use of the internet wirelessly without depending on a phone line or cable. 

How does it differ from the conventional Wireless Broadband?

Fixed line (Conventional) Broadband can offer fast speeds, but can not be moved without fees and technicians.

Wireless Data services, operating on mobile phone networks offer portability, but speeds rarely go past 10kbps.

Unwired Broadband combines the *portability of mobile data services, with similar speeds to fixed line broadband, all the way up to 1Mbps!

What about the interference that we have been experiencing with the conventional Wireless Broadband?

The interference that has been experienced by Wireless Broadband internet users has been due to the fact that Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have been operating in the 2.4 GHz band.  It is the crowding in this band by all the ISPs that has resulted in the interference.

Unwired Broadband will be operating in ZAMNET’s new dedicated 2.6 GHz band.   Interference is now a thing of the past.

What do I need to get me going?

You will need a ‘Rabbit’.  The ‘Rabbit’ is a small, sleek and retail-friendly CPE.  The ‘Rabbit’ makes Broadband access personal and portable …..Anywhere, anytime.   

When can you come and Install it for me?

We do not to do that for you.  You can do it yourself.  It is as easy as 1, 2, 3.     unwired Broadband is Zero-install with true plug-n-play capabilities, eliminating the need for expensive installations. 

The following are the installation instructions:

1.   Buy the box

2.   Plug in and

3.   You are online!

What if I travel to the Copperbelt or Livingstone or I need to move from Kabulonga to my office in town?

You can take your ‘Rabbit’ with you anywhere within our coverage area.  Remember, there are no installation charges and no wires.

Unwired Broadband therefore affords you the freedom to move:
